Hi everyone hope your all having a great week so far!
Thanks to a super jam packed weekend I am still reading The Golden Lily so there's nothing new to report on that but I do have something oh my mind. It's not exactly about a book but its got a book background. Lately I have been completely caught up in The Vampire Diaries!! It's just so suspenseful and twisty it's keep you guessing. And they certainly don't mind surprising you by killing off beloved characters you never thought would die. The show is in its fourth season now and all though I didn't think it was possible it's gotten even more exciting! Everything about the show screams guilty pleasure from the super hot male actors to the soapy love triangles and of course the whole story line it's self a town plagued by Vampires and in the last few seasons Werewolves. The thing that I love the most about this show is simply the feelings it portrays its like a big at times dysfunctional family. Even though there are plenty of fights between the characters and a huge love triangle between Elena, Stefan and Damon at the end of the day when it really counts they always have each others backs. I love that all the heart this show has underneath all the steamy love scenes and scary fights its really about people's relationships with each other and how you don't have to be blood related to be family. So if you haven't watched the show try it out you can find a few of the seasons on Netflix or watch the current season the fourth right now on The CW, or if like me your all ready a fan of the show then tell me what you love about the show in the comments!
Happy Reading!

Unbroken by Paula Morris Book Review
Happy Monday!
Really I hate monday's they are the worst day of the week in my opinion but we might as well make the best of it right? And besides its another day to catch up on my monsterous sized to-read list!
Okay so enough chit chat here is my review for Unbroken:
Welcome back to New Orleans.
Where the streets swirl with jazz and beauty.
Where the houses breathe with ghosts.
A year ago, Rebecca Brown escaped death in a New Orleans cemetery. Now she has returned to this haunting city. She is looking forward to seeing Anton Grey, the boy who may or may not have her heart.
But she also meets a ghost: a troubled boy who insists only she can help him. Soon Rebecca finds herself embroiled in another murder mystery from more than a century ago. But as she tries to right wrongs, she finds more questions than answers: Is she putting her friends, and herself, in danger? Can she trust this new ghost? And has she stumbled into something much bigger and more serious than she understands?
I never excpected their to be a sequel to this book, I was thrilled that their was but it was published so long after the first book I just didn't think it would happen. I loved the first book so much all the supense and mystery, the ghost and the curse I loved every minitue of it. I enjoyed this book too but it wasn't quite as good as the first book. I did enjoy it though and would reccomend that you read it if you read the first book, even though its not as good it wraps up some things that you wondered about. I liked the characters just as much as I did in the first but at times I found myself extremely frustrated with Anton! I really like the new character Ling who is a friend of Rebecca's from New York. She was very sweet but yet fiesty and brave she gave some of the moments I found a little boring a bit more fun. I hate to say anything bad about this book becasue I love Paula Morris and there were parts of the book I really enjoyed but parts of it were just not that intresting. It was not pulse pounding and exciting like the first book it kind of dragged in spots. The best parts were the parts that involved digging up information about a new ghost Rebecca meets named Frank. I don't want to give away to many details for those who haven't read it yet. All in all my opinion is that this book had some good moments and this book also had some boring moments, but I don't regret reading it and was happy to see what happened to the characters I came to love in the first book.

As a special (bit late) Vanlentines day treat I have a wonderful Intreview with an amazing author........ Mrs. C.C Hunter!! She was kind enough to answer my questions and she wrote some truely great answers so without further ado...
1. I love your Shadow Fall's series and I wondered when writing a series does it get easier with more books since your so familiar with the characters or does it get harder to keep the story
going?
C.C. : First, thank you so much for having me visit your blog. Bloggers have a special place in my heart. Now, to answer your question . . .
In a way it gets easier, because, yes, I do know my characters better. But that doesn't mean I don't sometimes write my way into a corner. I've gotten Kylie into trouble and I didn't know how she would get out. So, it takes me sometime to come up with a solution. But the further I get into a series, the more my characters take form in my head and "talk" to me. More times than you would think, my characters tell me what they will do. One of the hardest parts for me is to end a series. I could keep going forever and exploring other characters. Chosen at Nightfall was supposed to be the final book, but I feel there is more to tell. So, on April 2nd, I'm releasing a novella only available as an ebook, Saved at Sunrise, which is about Della and Steve F.R.U. mission. Then, I'm going to continue the Shadow Falls series by writing more books from Della's point of view. After all, she still has a lot of stuff to work out, so her story is far from over.
2. I'm sure there are a lot but what are the top 5 authors that inspire you?
C.C.: Gosh, I have so many favorite authors that have influenced and inspired me. It is hard to name names, but I'll try. Authors like Sophie Jordan, Lori Wilde, Joy Preble, Susan Muller, and Mary Lindsey are all friends of mine, and they have all inspired me in one way or another. Plus, I read all the time. There are so many brilliant authors out there, it is hard not to be inspired by them.
3. Was writing your first choice job or did you at one point envision yourself doing something else?
C.C.: No, writing wasn't my first job, and it took a long time to even admit it to myself that I wanted to be a writer. It was one of the scariest—and hardest—things I've ever done. Now, don’t get me wrong—I love writing. More than that, I love telling stories. I think it’s part of being from the Southern US. But writing those stories down on paper, and obeying all of those grammar rules they taught us in school, well, that was the part that scared me. And I'll let you in on a little secret—it still scares me. You see, I’m dyslexic. For me, that means I’m a terrible speller and often I get words and sentences backwards. But when I was in my early twenties and Hubby asked me what kind of a career I wanted to pursue, I told him I wanted to be a writer. And I never regretted taking that leap of faith, either, although it was, as I said, the hardest, and scariest, thing I’ve ever had to do. But, if I wasn't a writer, I'd probably be a teacher, since I love teaching writing classes.
4. How would you describe your writing style?
C.C.: I’m not a plotter. I don't have charts and outlines of scenes. I really do write to discover the story just as my readers read to learn the story. When I first started writing Born at Midnight, I didn’t know who the ghost was going to be. To me, writing books is very much like getting to know someone. You don’t meet someone and in one, two or three weeks get to know them. It take weeks, months, and sometimes years before you really know what makes someone tick. While I always have a handle on the moral character of a character, I don’t know everything they will face during the course of the story. And the characterization of real and fictional people will depend a lot on what lessons he/she learns through the course of the story. So while my plans don’t change, sometimes my characters become smarter, more frightened, or more aware of different issues as the story unfolds.
5. Which Shadow Falls book so far has been your favorite to write?
C.C.: That's a very hard question. I have loved writing all of the Shadow Falls books. Some were definitely harder to write than others, but I still enjoyed writing them. I even loved writing Whispers at Moonrise and Chosen at Nightfall despite the fact that I cries a lot while writing them. But I laughed a lot, too. And that makes to all worth it. So, trying to choose one book over another is like trying to pick my favorite child. I love them all, but maybe for different reasons. :)
Thanks for having me and I'd like to leave you with my motto: Laugh, Love, Read.

Upcoming Books
Hi,
There are so many new books coming out this year what are some of the releases everybody is excited for? Here a list of a few that I can't wait for. This is not even close to all of them but that would take me all day to list so I'm giving you my top 5. List your top 5 or as many as you would like in the comments section!
1. Crushed by Sara Shepard (June 4th) - I am so hooked on this series! when she decided to do more books after the 8th book Wanted I was a little worried that the books would get boring I didn't think there could me more to tell but boy was I wrong! The last few books
9-12 have been even more exciting and shocking then the first 8. She has put so many twists that I never would have imagined into these last couple books that I am waiting in breathless anticipation for book 13. Way to go Sara!
2. Chosen at Nightfall by C.C. Hunter (April 23rd) - I was a little late about getting into this series books 1-3 were already out before I read the first book Born at Midnight, but as soon as I did I was instantly in love with this series. I loved the characters the story lines and of course the love triangles! I bought the first book for my kindle around the time it first came out but it didn't catch my attention right away because the storyline seemed so much like a whole list of others I had already read. This series was unlike any of those though sure there are similarities but the characters and the writing are unique, C.C. Hunter has a way of writing that makes it seem so real. She really makes you fall in love and root for her characters! In the last book Whispers at Moonrise a lot of things are revealed that makes it hard to wait for Chosen at Nightfall. I won't got into details so I don't spoil it for those who haven't read it, but seriously those of you who haven't go get them they are amazing!
3. School Spirits by Rachel Hawkins (May 14th) - Oh how I love Rachel Hawkins witty dialogue and hilarious characters! This is a new series that I am super excited for it combines all the things I love mythology, kick-butt female characters and a witty writer!
4. Untold by Sara Rees Brennan (September 24th) - Its killing me that I have to wait all the way until September for this book! I devoured the first book in one sitting. I was seriously up until like 4 in the morning reading this because I just couldn't put it down!! It had me guessing the whole time I loved the storyline. A boy and a girl with this strange unknown connection where they can read each others minds and feel each others feelings, plus a spooky town where odd things happen and people are disappearing and even dieing.... Yes please! I love a little mystery and the first book gave me plenty, and now I am absolutely dieing to read this second book! Hurry up September!!
5. Lying game book 6: Seven Minutes in Heaven by Sara Shepard(July 30th) - Thank God Sara Shepard is such an amazingly fast writer, because I can't stand the suspense in this series! I just finished book 5 a week ago and I can't wait to see what happens. Some people get annoyed when an author draws out a mystery for a long time (like over 5 books) but it just makes me want the answer even more. In the last book something major happened at the end that I think is going to start driving us closer to more answers and scandals I'm sure :)

Hi I'm Back!! - Plus a guest post from author Pam Johnson!
Hi,
I know its been a longgggg time since I posted anything as awful as this may sound I'v been so busy the past couple years I pretty much forgot about this blog. But I'm back now and plan to update as much as possiable. To start things off I have a guest post from Author Pam Johnson that I think you will all find as intresting and helpful as I did!
A Day in the Life of a Journalist
Many individuals, especially those who are just starting to take some journalism classes in school, are wondering what the life of a journalist is really like. Well, it can vary from job to job, but here's some information to give you an idea.
Varying Schedules
In the field of journalism, you're not very likely to work the traditional 9-5 hours. After all, news can happen at any time of the day. If you're covering hard news story, you will probably be working at least some evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Individuals who are working in other jobs in journalism, such as posting local event listings or submitting a series of garage sale listings, will likely have more of a morning through evening schedule.
Asking Tough Questions
When you're a journalist, especially one who covers a lot of hard news, you're going to have to be outspoken and extroverted. Even if a serious issue has just occurred, you need to be willing to walk into the middle of it and ask big questions of the right people. Remember, think about what you want to know when you're reading a news story. These are the types of facts that your own readers will want to know, and you have to get to the bottom of these stories as accurately and quickly as possible.
Fast Paced
Speaking of the word quickly, a fast paced lifestyle is what most journalists encounter. The news is constantly happening and evolving. Furthermore, your editor is going to want to make sure that your paper gets to the news first. If someone else has already covered the story a couple of hours before, people are likely to check back with that news source for updates. Additionally, the news changes so rapidly. Right now, the biggest story could be a car crash downtown, and in an hour, you might need to completely switch gears and provide an accurate report of the local high school team's game against its biggest rival.
Understanding Technology
So many business atmosphere are changing due to technology, and journalism is absolutely not an exception to this rule. In fact, you may even be required to post news from the spot as you are on the scene through Twitter, Facebook or another type of medium. It's also imperative, at most jobs, that you know how to use a digital camera and a video camera. Depending upon the line of work you are in, you might have to obtain these items for yourself. Other newspapers operate solely online, and most of the journalists never even see the physical location; therefore, you will be responsible for uploading all of the necessary information onto the computer in a short amount of time.
As you can see, the day of a journalist is going to significantly vary depending upon for which company you are working. Some are more old fashioned, and others will require literally up to the second information that is transmitted through the use of some piece of technology.
